A helicopter crash leaves Brigadier Lidder with full military rites

On Friday, Brigadier Lakhbinder Singh Lidder, who was killed two days ago in a helicopter crash, was laid to rest with full military honours. In Brar Square, Delhi Cantonment, Army Chief General MM Naravane, Navy Chief Admiral R Hari Kumar, and Air Chief Marshal VR Chaudhari paid their tributes to the brigadier. Besides his wife and daughter, members of his family paid their respects. Other people who paid tribute to Brig. Lidder includes Ajit Doval, chief security adviser, and Manohar Lal Khatter, chief minister of Haryana.

The Army has positively identified the mortal remains of only three individuals -- General Rawat, his wife Madhulika Rawat, and Brigadier Lidder.
