BMW Concept M8 Gran Coupe, 2018

The BMW M8 is the high-performance version of the BMW 8 Series (G15) marketed under the BMW M sub-brand. Introduced in June 2019, the M8 was initially produced in the 2-door convertible (F91 model code) and 2-door coupe (F92 model code) body styles

The proportions are characterized by the dynamic, flowing body and the low, dynamic stance. The surface treatment uses muscular surfaces and precise contours aimed at expressing the car’s performance potential. At the front the contours of the radiator grille kidneys broaden as they descend towards the road, emphasizing the car’s low center of gravity.

Design-wise, the Concept M8 Gran Coupe looks familiar, yet it’s gorgeous. It’s familiar because it sports many of the cues already seen on the new 8 Series coupe,  The lights are tinted yellow, as seen on the M8 GTE race car, a feature borrowed from classic Le Man's racers. It’s a nice touch, but it won’t make it on the production models.

The 8 Series and the 8 Series Gran Coupe will be offered in rear-wheel drive and XDrive AWD configurations as well with BMW’s existing range of engines - a 3.0-litre, in-line six turbo petrol (840i), a 4.4-liter V8 turbo petrol (850i), a hybrid drivetrain (840e) and the top-of-the-line 6.6-litre V12 turbo petrol (860i or M860i).

The 8 Series and the 8 Series Gran Coupe will be offered in rear-wheel drive and XDrive AWD configurations as well with BMW’s existing range of engines - a 3.0-litre, in-line six turbo petrol (840i), a 4.4-liter V8 turbo petrol (850i), a hybrid drivetrain (840e) and the top-of-the-line 6.6-litre V12 turbo petrol (860i or M860i).
