All You Need To Know About Active Skincare


The active components in skincare products are substances that are naturally occurring and act on the skin internally to help repair, rejuvenate, heal, moisturise, protect, and encourage healthy cell growth. Specific issues like acne, wrinkles, hyperpigmentation, exfoliation, and cell renewal are treated with these substances.

Vitamin C: Promotes collagen formation, exfoliates and brightens the skin, and reduces hyperpigmentation.

Niacinamide (Vitamin B3): helps to improve the skin's barrier function while reducing sebum production and brightening skin tone.

BHA: Salicylic acid, also known as a beta-hydroxy acid (BHA), is well known for clearing up acne.

AHA: Glycolic and lactic acids are examples of AHAs (Alpha-Hydroxy Acids). promotes cell turnover, increases collagen formation, and decreases hyperpigmentation and acne. The practical concentration is 5%.

Retinoids: Vitamin A derivatives called retinoids offer the best anti-ageing defence. It just takes about 3 per cent of this active component.

Hyaluronic acid: prevents drooping, smooths fine wrinkles, evens out rough regions, and firms up the skin.
