Arvind Kejriwal blames LG for the henious murder in Delhi

Arvind Kejriwal, the chief minister of Delhi, criticised Lieutenant Governor VK Saxena on Monday for the heinous murder of a 16-year-old girl in the Shahabad neighbourhood.

“A minor girl is brutally murdered openly in Delhi. This is very sad and unfortunate. The criminals have become fearless, there is no fear of the police. LG sir, law and order is your responsibility, do something. The safety of the people of Delhi is of paramount importance”, the chief minister tweeted.

The controversy over a Centre rule that limited the authority of the Delhi government serves as the backdrop to Kejriwal's jab at the Delhi L-G. The elected government will be in charge of all services with the exception of law and order and land, according to the Supreme Court's ruling from May 11. The president has given the lieutenant governor authority to act in an administrative capacity.
