BBC UK & BBC India issued fresh notices for 10,000 crore damages in India : The Modi question case

Delhi High Court issues fresh notice to BBC UK & BBC India in case filed by Gujarat NGO Justice on Trial against BBC UK & BBC India.

Earlier the notices were issued in May, but the Gujarat NGO was unable to serve the notices. The plea asks for damages for “Loss of reputation and goodwill caused to the Hon’ble Prime Minister of India, the Government of India, the Government of the State of Gujarat as it was during the period of the Gujarat Riots, and also the people of India”.

The documentary puts a question on the role of Prime Minister Narendar Modi, the then Chief Minister of Gujarat in the Gujarat riots. The NGO has asked damages of Rs. 10,000 crores from BBC UK & BBC India.
