Car of the month - Audi Q5

|THE DEN|

The Audi Q5 is a pretty capable car, with luxury features and a comfortable interior. This car has a go anywhere attitude and the Audi badge and will cost you in between 59-64 lakhs ex- showroom. We chose this car to be the car of the month simply because of its presence and the feel of driving.

The front and rear of the facelifted Q5 have undergone the most alterations. Overall, it's a stunning automobile. It is not very tall, which aids its driving dynamics but detracts from its SUV/crossover appearance. We anticipate that the target customers will appreciate its premium and elegant appearance.

The dashboard design is simple but subtle. Materials, colour palette, textures, and fit and finish are all in line with what you would expect from an Audi. The attention is drawn to the hefty leather-wrapped steering wheel. The controls for configuring the layout and data elements of the fully digital instrument cluster are on the left spoke, while telephony, voice commands, and audio controls are on the right spoke.

The rear seats are really comfortable, with plenty of legroom. They have fore-and-aft adjustability as well as a reclining backrest. Pop-out cupholders are located on the wide centre armrest. The middle floor hump is extremely high, making the 5th passenger absolutely unpleasant. The rear seats are configured 40:20:40, with the centre part folding down separately providing easy access to the boot from the interior or hauling large things. Overall, the Audi Q5's interior is a terrific place to be; the main highlight is the plush seating all around.

The Q5 is equipped with a 2.0L turbocharged Petrol TFSI engine that produces 247 BHP and 370 Nm in India. It's the same turbocharged petrol engine with the same tune as before, but it now complies with BS6. The transmission, a 7-speed dual- clutch S-Tronic gearbox, is also unchanged. The Audi Q5 facelift for 2021 consists primarily of cosmetic alterations, with the dimensions remaining nearly identical.

When you go into the driver's seat and press the engine start/ stop button, the engine starts right up. The Q5's NVH levels are quite good, and at a standstill, you won't hear or feel any engine noise or vibration within the cabin. In dynamic mode this engine performs well and the car never feels underpowered.
