CM Arvind Kejriwal visits Satyendar Jain at hospital

Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader and former Delhi health minister Satyendar Jain is being treated at Lok Nayak Hospital after reportedly suffering a blood clot in his head as a result of an injury sustained when he fell in the toilet of Tihar jail on May 25. Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal paid him a visit on Sunday.

After being detained in Tihar Jail for nearly a year on charges of money laundering, Jain was granted interim bail for six weeks on medical grounds by the Supreme Court on Friday.

The Supreme Court rejected the Enforcement Directorate's argument that the AAP leader's health status be first evaluated by a team of doctors from the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) in New Delhi and instead granted Jain interim relief until July 11 on medical grounds. After handling numerous significant positions as a minister, including health and prison, Jain was detained by ED last year.
