Delhi Lt governor ordered CBI to probe into purchase of buses

VK Saxena, the lieutenant governor of Delhi, has given the go-ahead for an investigation into the Delhi government's acquisition of 1,000 low-floor buses, which has caused new rifts with the Arvind Kejriwal-led Aam Aadmi Party administration.

The Delhi government claims that the investigation is politically motivated and that the Lieutenant-Governor should first defend his name from the corruption allegations made against him.

The investigation into Delhi Transport Corporation's acquisition of 1,000 low-floor buses has been given to the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) according to officials.
