Delhi primary schools to be shut from Nov 5; air quality worsens

|THE DEN|

Primary schools in Delhi will be shuttered starting tomorrow as a result of the capital's increasing air pollution levels. Arvind Kejriwal, the chief minister, and the chief minister of Punjab reached the decision during a press conference on Friday, November 4.

Until the air quality improves, all schools in the national capital region will be closed. All outdoor activities for all classes above Class 5 will also be suspended, along with the schools.

The Delhi Chief Minister stated during the conference that they are making every effort to tackle the pollution crisis. He also stressed the importance of considering whether to use the odd-even strategy for automobiles. The schools' reopening date has not yet been determined, though.
