Delhi traffic police issues guidelines for Parliament inauguration



In preparation of the inauguration of the new Parliament building, a high-profile event in which many MPs from around the nation are anticipated to participate, special traffic measures will be put in place in Delhi. To guarantee a smooth flow of traffic and to improve security in the capital, the Delhi Traffic Police has issued a warning outlining the rules and restrictions for May 28.



The district of New Delhi would be handled as a controlled area during the inauguration ceremony, per the advise. Within this restricted area, only particular types of vehicles will be permitted to enter and move. Public transport vehicles, candidates for the civil service, lawful residents, branded cars and emergency vehicles are among the authorised vehicles.

According to the advisory, "The area enclosed by Mother Teresa Ceresent Road, roundabout Talkatora, Baba Kharak Singh Marg, roundabout Gol Dak Khana, Ashok Road, roundabout Patel Chowk, Ashok Road, roundabout Windsor Place, Janpath, roundabout MLNP, Akbar Road, roundabout Gol Methi, Akbar Road, roundabout GKP, Teen Murti Marg, roundabout Teen Murti and Mother Teresa Crescent Road will be treated as regulated area".
