Delhi woman gang-raped in Ghaziabad; Tortured and left to die on road

According to authorities, a 40-year-old Delhi lady was allegedly abducted by five men in Ghaziabad, gang-raped, and tortured for two days. The survivor, who is still in the hospital, knew each of the five males. Four of the accused have been detained.

Swati Maliwal, the head of the Delhi Commission for Women, tweeted that the woman is in a "very severe condition with an iron rod remaining within her."



On Tuesday, the satellite town of Ghaziabad's police received a report of a woman who was found lying close to Ashram Road, which connects it to Delhi. She was taken to the GTB Hospital by the police, who also filed a report.



The woman was dropped off at a bus stop by her brother while she was travelling back to Delhi from a birthday celebration in Ghaziabad, according to the police. A car approached the woman as she waited for the bus, and five guys dragged her inside. They allegedly transported her to an unnamed place and sexually assaulted her there.

The senior superintendent of police in Ghaziabad has received a notice from the Delhi Commission for Women requesting information on the accused. "The woman was discovered with an iron rod remaining inside her in a very bad state in a pool of blood. The note from Swati Maliwal stated that the woman was in critical condition.


The Delhi girl was forcibly carried away in the car while she was returning from Ghaziabad at night. She was sexually assaulted by 5 individuals over the course of 2 days and had a rod placed in her privates. When it was discovered in a sack on the side of the road, the rod was still within. In the hospital, fighting for life.
