Givenchy is a luxury fashion and perfume house based in France. It houses the Givenchy brand of haute couture garments, accessories, perfumes and cosmetics. Givenchy is a member of the Chambre Syndicale de la Haute Couture et du Pret-a-Porter and was created in 1952 by designer Hubert de Givenchy.


LVMH, a luxury multinational, owns it. Hubert de Givenchy created his luxury brand in 1952 and debuted the Les Séparables collection, which included airy skirts and puffy blouses made of raw cotton.



Givenchy founded Les Parfums Givenchy in 1957 and is best known for his haute couture work. Hubert de Givenchy asked Audrey Hepburn to be the face of his L'Interdit perfume in 1958, which she was only allowed to wear for a year.

For the first time, he introduced a movie star in an advertising campaign. Monsieur Givenchy and l'eau de Vetiver were launched in 1957 and 1959, respectively, and the female fragrance Givenchy was launched in 1970 with the slogan "Who knows why one is reminded of a particular woman and not another one?

The perfume comes in an Oriental Floral Chypre fragrance. Its top notes are tangerine and orange blossom. The middle notes are Ylang ylang, Jasmine, Rose and Tuberose. The base notes are Amber, Patchouli and Vanilla.
