IMD issues 'Yellow alert' in Delhi; Yamuna water crosses level

The Yamuna River in Delhi, which had been running over the warning level for hours, crossed the danger mark of 205.33 metres on Monday at 5 o'clock, according to the most recent information from the flood control department. The India Meteorological department had earlier issued a "yellow alert" for the nation's capital.

Additionally, Delhi Minister Saurabh Bharadwaj said that the government is in alert mode and is fully equipped to control the situation after the administration issued a flood alert as a result of Haryana releasing a sizable amount of water into the Yamuna River from the Hathnikund barrage, totaling more than one lakh cusecs. Additionally, the same barrage released 1,90,837 cusecs of water at 1 o'clock on Monday.
