Srishti Pandya is someone special from the fashion world. She has worked with some big names in the fashion industry and is currently working with Sulakshana Monga. She also has her own label in the works.
Q. Tell us a little about your journey I graduated from Delhi University. I was always inspired by fashion work and the modelling industry. Initially, my parents didn't allow me to work in this industry, but somehow they understood me, and then I started working with fashion and makeup labels.
Q. What motivated you to move in this direction in your career ?
I had a friend who was in the fashion industry. Her work and style used to inspire me a lot, and that was my first motivation. Also, I had one thing in my mind that I wanted fashion only. Everything related to fashion from modelling to designing fascinated me a lot.
Q. If you had one country to live in forever, which country would you choose ? United States
Q. Tell us about the best experience that you had since you've been in this industry ? The best experience for me is the recent work that I am doing with Sulakshana Monga. It's a 30-year-old brand and is a big name. It is situated at Mehrauli with all the big designers. I've learnt a lot from this label, be it customary interaction or handling luxury brands.
Q. If you had to choose an alternate career, which career would you choose ? Fashion Designing
Q. Which is your favourite car to drive ? Porsche
Q. Three makeup products that you cannot do without ? My mascara, lip balm and blush
Q. Which is your favourite designer ? Alexander Mcqueen, as I love their artistic work
Q. Are you a beach person or a mountain person ? Beach person
Q. How did your family support you when you started out with this career ? And who are you closest with ? Initially, they weren't convinced with me doing anything in fashion. They always wanted me to become an IAS officer or get enrolled in some government service. And I am a pampered child so I was always like I want to do fashion only, this is the only thing that I can do. So eventually they started supporting me, and I am closest to my father. He always supported me when he understood that I wanted to pursue fashion only
Q. What are your plans for 2022 ? And what do you hope to achieve ? I want this year to be good and covid free. I look forward to growing more in this industry and starting my own label.
