Mercedes-Maybach S 650 Guard; The PM mobile!

What do you get when you take tank-like protection and mix it with one of the most luxurious sedans on the market? You get the Mercedes S 650 Guard. It's almost too obviously the choice for our PM but spending 12 crores on a car does get you some class apart features.

Bullets and bomb blasts have no effect on this vehicle. It was implemented to improve the security protocol for Prime Minister Modi's tour. According to reports, the vehicle boasts VR10-level protection. This is the highest level of protection offered by any protective vehicle. The automobile can even resist an AK-47 rifle onslaught.

The S 650 Guard is powered by a 6.0-litre twin-turbo V12 engine that produces 516 horsepower and 900 Nm of peak torque. The car's top speed is estimated to be 160 kilometres per hour. The car includes special run-flat tyres that allow it to continue driving even if a puncture occurs.

A 15 kg TNT explosion from a distance of two metres can also be sustained by the vehicle. From the inside, each car window has a polycarbonate coating. At the same time, the under-body has been developed in such a way that the person sitting within is protected even if there is an explosion. Furthermore, in the event of an attack or an emergency, a separate air supply can be provided in the car's interior. So while the Mercedes Maybach S 650 seems like overkill in terms of safety equipment, it will definitely keep our PM safe and might just prove to be value for money because at 12 crores of taxpayers money; there's a lot riding on it.
