Mumbai Court warns Kangana Ranaut

|India Today|

A Mumbai Court has warned Kangana Ranaut that a warrant will be issued against her if she does not remain present in court on the next date of hearing in the Javed Akhtar defamation case. The next hearing is ordered on September 20. The court said that if Kangana fails to appear, an arrest warrant will be issued against her. However, Kangana's lawyer, Rizwan Siddique, submitted a medical report of Kangana claiming that the actress is showing Covid-19 symptoms. Rizwan said that in the last 15 days, Kangana has travelled a lot for Thalaivii promotions and has met a lot of people. Rizwan asked for seven days' time from the court so that Kangana recovers and also takes the Covid-19 test. He also said that Kangana can be present through virtual hearing as well. Javed Akhtar's lawyer argued that this was done only to delay the hearing. Javed Akhtar is sincerely coming to court for each hearing. The judge ordered the next hearing in the matter on September 20. He warned Kangana that an arrest warrant will be issued by the court against her if she fails to appear in court.
