Noida is getting new laws for pet owners that include a $10,000 fine if the animal assaults someone. In its most recent recommendations, the Noida Authority made it essential for pet owners to register their animals by January 31 of the following year. In addition, it is now required that all dogs kept as pets be sterilised and vaccinated against rabies. A fine of Rs 2,000 per month may be imposed in the event of a breach, beginning on March 1, 2023.

The Authority further added that starting on March 1, 2023, the owner of any accident brought on by a pet dog or cat will be punished Rs 10,000.

Additionally, the owner of the pet dog that bit the injured person or animal will pay for their medical costs.
