PM Modi and his town cars

|THE DEN|

We all know the latest purchase of our PM, the Mercedes Maybach S650 but even PM modi had humble beginnings; he started out with a Scorpio when he was campaigning for the elections. He even took his trusty old Mahindra Scorpio with him to take the oath and become the PM of this country.

This one may appear to be a regular Mahindra Scorpio, but it isn't! This was a Scorpio built just for Narendra Modi by Anand Mahindra. Among all the Narendra Modi cars, this one appears to be most dear to him. Anand Mahindra also promised to rebuild a Scorpio for PM Narendra Modi. Modi accepted since he supports the "Make in India" initiative, but the Security Personnel Group (SPG) refused.

Then came the BMW 7 Series High security that the PM travelled in for a long time. This car was great in terms of driving, power and had a ton of class apart safety features.

This automobile can easily withstand handgun strikes up to .44 calibre Magnum. Most automatic weapons, such as the AK-47, are unable to harm this high-end vehicle. This vehicle is equipped with 20-inch alloy wheels and tyres that can run even when they are flat. The fuel tank is self-sealing, and the vehicle has an internal source of oxygen.

After the 7 series was set aside PM Modi then chose the 2010 Range Rover HSE to be his car. The Range Rover is the epitome of luxury, yet it doesn't skimp on safety either! If you used to have a hard time spotting Modiji in the BMW, but due to the huge windshield of the RR, you could now easily spot him in the front seat.

This one is powered by a 5-litre V8 engine, and it, of course, comes with an AWD system to assist the PM with some off- roading adventures if he chooses to do so ! Needless to say this machine is completely bulletproof and will protect our PM in case of any adversities. Not only does this car have a grand presence but it feels great from the inside as well.

The Toyota Land Cruiser was the last car that our PM used before splurging on the infamous S650 Guard. This massive SUV costs over 2 crores and has the road presence of a truck. The car comes with all the lux.ry amenities that Mr. Modi might need on a daily basis and a few extras even.

Toyota does not sell automobiles with high-security editions. So, this one was undoubtedly customised by a third-party firm. The Toyota Land Cruiser is powered by a 4.5-litre V8 engine that produces 262 Bhp and 650 Nm of peak torque. The extra weight required to make it bulletproof and add other security features necessitates a car with a very strong engine and the engine under this hood performs admirably.

The Mercedes-Maybach S650 Guard is the newest vehicle in Prime Minister Narendra Modi's convoy. This is a step up from his previous vehicles, which were a Range Rover Vogue and a Toyota Land Cruiser. Earlier this month, he was first seen in the new Maybach S650 Guard at Hyderabad House, where he visited Russian President Vladimir Putin. The facelifted version of the Mercedes-Maybach S650 Guard, which was globally revealed in 2019, has been added to the PM's fleet of luxury bullet-proof saloons.

While this sedan was not officially released in India, Mercedes- Benz did do so in 2016 with the Maybach S600 Guard, which retailed for Rs 10.50 crore ex-showroom. So it is fair to assume that this S650 comes in at over 12 crores. This car is really class apart in terms of features but also gets enough power to make it glide on the road, so it is an all round package.

The VR10-level protection, which is the greatest level of armoured protection possible on a production car, is one of the primary features of PM Modi's new Maybach S650 Guard. This luxury saloon has an Explosive Resistant Vehicle (ERV) 2010 rating and can withstand hardened steel core bullets. To protect the occupants from direct blasts, the lower half of the car is strongly armoured. Furthermore, in the event of a chemical attack, the cabin has its own air supply. From a distance of just two metres, it can also protect the passengers from a 15 kg TNT explosion.

The Mercedes-Maybach S650 Guard is powered by a 6.0-litre twin-turbo V12 engine that produces 523 horsepower and 830 Nm of peak torque. It has a top speed of 190 kmph, which is electronically limited. Furthermore, the car is equipped with special run-flat tyres that can travel up to 30 kilometres in the event of a puncture or damage. The car also gets an extremely luxurious interior with massaging seats, touchscreens all around and even a champagne fridge adds to the cool factor of this new PM Mobile.
