Republic of Bharat or Republic of India ? Presidential invite goes out for G20 dinner

Senior Congress leader Jairam Ramesh claims that the President of India has sent out an invite in the name President of Bharat for the G20 summit dinner to be held at Rashtrapati bhawan.

He wrote, "Rashtrapati Bhawan has sent out an invite for a G20 dinner on Sept 9th in the name of 'President of Bharat' instead of the usual ‘President of India'", on X.

He also wrote, "Mr. Modi can continue to distort history and divide India, that is Bharat, that is a Union of States. But we will not be deterred. After all, what is the objective of INDIA parties? It is BHARAT—Bring Harmony, Amity, Reconciliation And Trust. Judega BHARAT! Jeetega INDIA!".

Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma said, "REPUBLIC OF BHARAT - happy and proud that our civilization is marching ahead boldly towards AMRIT KAAL".

AAP Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Singh wrote, "Babasaheb Dr Bhimrao Ambedkar wrote in the constitution--"India That Is Bharat". But Modi and RSS who hate Babasaheb want to change the constitution. Why do Bhagwat and Modi hate Babasaheb so much?" on X.

This all started after Mohan Bhagwat said people should use 'Bharat' instead of India and urged people to inculcate the habit earlier this month.

Is this an attack on the opposition to differentiate the country from the opposition's I.N.D.I.A block or a massive strategy for 2024 ?
