Second dose of vaccine extremely important

A study in UK says that first dose of AstraZenece or Serum Institute of India’s Covid Shield is only 33% effective against the Indian Variant or B.167.2 while the second dose is 60% effective within 2 weeks which is expected to increase gradually as time passes after the vaccine. But, first dose in itself is not enough to protect anyone as vaccinated and the study revealed the importance of the second dose of vaccine. UK is underway to start booster trials as well on thousands of volunteers while India is still struggling for the first dose.
