South Delhi politician arrested for sexually assaulting air hostess

A South Delhi local politician was arrested from Mehrauli on Sunday. Harjeet Yadav, the accused in the matter allegedly under influence of alcohol allegedly raped her and committed unnatural offences in Freedom Fighters Enclave.

DCP, South, - Chandan Chowdhary said after a call came in on Sunday. The team from the local police station reached the spot and met the complainant. Both the complainant and the accused were taken to Mehrauli police station. The complainant told that she came in contact with Harjeet Singh, a resident of Khanpur only one and half months ago. She escaped from Harjeet after locking him in a room. and that is where she called the police.

A case has been registered under Sections 376 (rape), 323 (causing hurt), 509 (insulting modesty) and 377 (unnatural offence). Harjeet Singh has been sent to judicial custody.
