Supreme Court takes Suo Moto of Justice Uttam Anand's death

The Supreme Court of India has taken the case of death of Justice Uttam Anand of Dhanbad, Jharkand on its own as it is a sensitive matter and needs to be probed without any scope of bias from any power. The matter of an attack on Judge is taken very seriously, by the Supreme Court, let alone a murder. The entire system of democracy is dependent on the judiciary and the protection to the constitution by it. The judges have traditionally never required security, as they are not attacked but the situation need to be analysed again after the incident. The hearing is scheduled to be next week. The Supreme Court seeks report from the police and top officials in the hearing.
