September - Editor’s Choice

Rolls Royce Phantom Extended

Ten crores and forty eight lakhs

50,00,00,000

- 10,48,00,000

= 39,52,00,000

Like the Siamese Fighting Fish, no two are ever the same. As the vision of the patron is melded by artisans, the legend is brought to life.

Phantom Extended is made in your image, not for your image.

Every motorist that loves cars knows that luxury in cars can not be talked about without mentioning a Rolls Royce. So, the first car on the list is of course Rolls Royce Phantom Extended - The quietest Rolls Royce ever made.

Housing a 6749cc V12 engine giving an output of 563 bhp measuring 5982 x 2108 x 1656 (LxWxH), this is the definition and benchmark of a Sedan.

A single panel of glass spans the entire fascia to house a unique Gallery displaying bespoke artwork of your choice.

Phantom’s Starline Headliner places 1,536 individual fibre optic stars in the ceiling which can be commanded into constellations or shooting stars and changed into any colour the patron wants.

At the touch of a button, the electrochromic glass switches from transparent to fully opaque, separating front and rear cabins to create total privacy in an instant. And frequency-specific insulation maintains unprecedented levels of acoustic separation, ensuring any discussions reach your ears only.

One touch foot rest, glasses with decanter, lead-crystal champagne flutes, artistic clock, care kit and centre console seat controls among other things make Rolls Royce the best buy ignoring the price. But, with 50 with us, this is the obvious buy.

Bentley Flying Spur

Three crores and forty one lakhs

39,52,00,000

- 3,41,00,000

The Bentley Flying Spur measuring 5,316 x 1,987 x 1,484 (LxWxH) comes with a W12 6.0 litre engine achieving top speed of 333 km/hr.

The Bentley Flying Spur houses the largest superformed aluminium panel on any car, anywhere in the world resulting in a near seamless surface, considered the hallmark of Bentley.

On either side of the gleaming vertical vane grille, LED matrix headlamps sparkle like crystal-cut glasses, each one enhanced by a gleaming chrome sleeve. And, of course on the top is the flying ‘B’ or the pièce de résistance whose wings light up in synchronicity with the headlamps.

The Bentley rotating display is extraordinary. Hidden beneath a beautifully veneered fascia, it rotates when you start the car to reveal an advanced digital display featuring apps, media and vehicle information. A further rotation reveals three classic analogue dials with jewel-like chrome bezels.

In the Flying Spur’s interior, natural wood and leather meet glass and steel of the 21st century to give pure luxury. Meanwhile, the passengers in the rear seat are given two 10.1” screens and a wireless tablet to control everything from ambience to ventilation.

Changing with the environment, Bentley also offers 2.9 litre V6 Flying Spur Hybrid, offering the capability for emission-free driving without compromising on the exhilarating power for which Bentley is famous.

Ferrari SF90 Stardale

Seven crores and fifty lakhs

33,38,00,000

- 7,50,00,000

= 25,88,00,000

It is a Ferrari, if you can afford it, you need it Rosso Corsa i.e. the iconic red Ferrari colour which translates to racing red.

The two seater super car is 4,710 x 1,972 x 2,650 (LxWxH) producing a combined output of astonishing 986 hp from its V8 engine and two electric motors using hybrid technology for the best possible use in a Ferrari.

The SF90 Stardale slots between the mid-rear engine coupés, today represented by the F8 Tributo and LaFerrari and is the new standard bearer for hyper technological extreme cars. Perfection as always in design, the rear of the car is dominated by exhaust pipes. With the power train being lower, the designers were able to lower the car’s tail leading to ease in separation of screen from the cooling grille.

The SF90 Stardale’s interface is indeed dreamy. With a futuristic cockpit design, the Emanetting driving mode selection on the steering wheel and the touch control pad for shifting screens make it more extraordinary than it already was.

With Ferrari’s policy of Eyes on the road, hands on the wheel, the Heads up Display project various data on the windshield. With the transition screens creating a 3D effect, the major addition is the tunnel area interface. The F1 controls on the “bridge” are probably the most iconic of the Ferraris of the recent generations.

For the first time, buyers can choose between the standard car and a more sports oriented version.

The Asserto Florano is a special version of SF90 Stardale available on request, designed to enhance the racing spirit, the vehicle already encompasses. The variant houses exclusive content like Multimatic shock absorbers, high performance materials like carbon fibre and titanium reducing the weight of the car by 21kgs. Also with carbon fibre spoilers are Michelin Pilot Short Cup 2 tyres approved for road use and designed to improve track performance.

The technological look of carbon fibre, featured in the monocoque as well as the doors, seats, center tunnel and console, coexists with a design of clear aeronautical inspiration, while the leather and Alcantara upholstery adds a bold touch to the luxurious interior.

The Aventador SVJ was commissioned for just 900 examples. A special edition called SVJ 63 was later on commissioned to pay homage to the year Automobili Lamborghini was founded. The SVJ 63 features exclusive colour and finishes and highlights the extensive use of carbon fiber.
