May’s Choice- Reader’s Choice

This month the cars were chosen by our valued audience, the Auto Episode Magazine thanks each and every one of you for reading. All these cars were chosen by our audience and we hope you like this collection of cars worth 50 crores.

Rolls Royce Phantom

50,00,00,000 -09,50,00,000 =41,00,00,000

The most luxurious land yacht money can buy.

The Phantom by Rolls-Royce is the pinnacle of luxury and comfort. It's a colossal car for the ultra-wealthy that's nearly in a class by itself. Aside from being powerful, comfy, opulent, expensive, and exclusive, the Phantom is one of the most customised automobiles on the market, and it commands attention wherever it travels.

A silky 563-hp twin-turbo V-12 combined with an eight-speed automatic and rear-wheel drive delivers massive power. Although the Phantom's claimed 5.1-second zero-to-60-mph time is impressive, the Phantom is best suited for gliding along with gentle throttle and steering inputs.

Imagine being carried along on a fluffy cloud for the duration of the voyage. The Phantom nearly floats above the road, thanks to a pothole-spotting camera that aids the suspension's real- time adaptation to road imperfections. It's a sensory- deprivation cocoon reminiscent of a library that makes you feel like a member of the royal family.

The Phantom is unlike any other car on the market, not just because of its nearly limitless modification options, but also because of its sumptuous features. Lambswool floor mats, hand-crafted wood veneers, first-class leather upholstery, a "Gallery" with various designs, a fiber-optic Starlight headliner with an optional shooting star effect, power-closing doors, and a limousine-like Privacy Suite cabin are among the options available to customers.

Aston Martin DB11

41,00,00,000 - 04,20,00,000 =36,80,00,000

The most beautiful car you can set your eyes on.

The DB11 is not only amazing on the outside but every DB11 comes with a luxurious interior that can be customised with unique colours and materials. Minor anomalies in panel fitting and switchgear that seems cheap have been noted. Nonetheless, these drawbacks fade in, compared to the vehicle's overall luxurious and adrenaline-pumping experience.

When you enter via the swan-hinged door (which rises slightly to avoid kerbs), you're greeted by the scent of expensive leather rather than cutting-edge technology or interior design. This isn't at all a bad thing. All variants come standard with leather upholstery, heated and power-adjustable front seats, and passive entry. The steering wheel is heated and the front seats are ventilated.

The Aston Martin DB11 is a cross between a sports car and a grand tourer. Its long, low, and wide shape draws attention whether it has a fixed roof or a retractable soft top. This rear- drive-only Aston Martin has a 630-hp twin-turbo V-12 engine, but it's only available in coupe form, costs a lot of money, and can overpower the back tyres.

The DB11 ushered in a new era for Aston Martin, bringing turbocharging, a completely reworked chassis, and Mercedes- influenced interior design to a roster that would soon expand to four full-production models.

Maserati Quattroporte

36,80,00,000 - 02,12,00,000 =34,68,00,000

A 4 door sedan with the looks of a sports car.

Maserati isn't known for blending in, and the 2022 Quattroporte does so with a brashness that stands out in the full-size luxury sedan category. Competitors like the Audi A8, BMW 7-series, and Mercedes-Benz S-class provide greater comfort and convenience features, but the Maserati adds the heat with turbocharged powertrains meant to entice enthusiast drivers.

This is a car in which practically anyone could stretch out in plenty of comfort, whether in the front or rear. Taller adults won't find much rear head room, but the car is similar to many Mercedes-Benz S-Class limousines in this regard. The boot is spacious, and unlike some full-size luxury alternatives, it has split folding seat-backs that, while not completely flat, let you carry larger cargo.

The standard engine is a 345-hp V-6, but a 424-hp version is more fun, and the top-spec Trofeo comes with a 580-hp V-8. Buyers can personalise the Quattroporte with a variety of inside and exterior trims and appearance packages.

The Quattroporte Trofeo drives like a big, hefty, premium saloon car with plenty of power, but not always as much grip and composure as it needs to effectively deploy it. And it isn't particularly offensive in doing so since, after all, if you want to produce a performance limousine, you must first make a limousine. The Maserati's predilection for ride comfort and a touch of dynamic gentility ensures that it is always at least moderately pleasant and easy to drive.

Mercedes-Maybach S680

34,68,00,000 - 03,20,00,000 =31,48,00,000

Enough space to match business class seats.

The world's wealthiest have a place to lay their weary heads on the drive between their rooftop helipad and their estate, thanks to ultimate luxury cars like the Mercedes-Maybach S- class. This is a car you need if you spend 50 crores on cars because it has amazing interiors, a great engine, and will waft on practically any road.

Anything that weighs more than two tonnes (2,350kg) and accelerates quicker than a V8-powered BMW M3 is not only hilarious, but also shocking. The front of the car slowly rears up in the amusing 'Sport' mode – yep, a Maybach with a 'Sport' mode – and the entire unit surges down the road like an outraged elephant. It has a top speed of 250km/h.

The S680 has a 6.0-liter V-12 engine with 621 horsepower. The V12 is there to provide superb, effortless power; consider 663lb ft of torque available from as low as 2,000rpm, supplied with a nine-speed automatic transmission and four-wheel drive. Between depressing the accelerator pedal and a thrilling surge of forward momentum that feels unburstable, there are only a few moments.

The Maybach S-class boasts a seven-inch larger wheelbase than the Benz-branded S-class sedan, allowing for even greater legroom inside the leather-lined interior. A 64-color interior ambient lighting system, heated and ventilated front seats with massage and four-position memory settings, heated rear seats with power adjustments and massage, an air ionising system with a trademark aroma, and a panoramic sunroof will be included on all versions.

Ferrari 812

31,48,00,000 - 05,75,00,000 =25,73,00,000

With over 811 horsepower, a blast on every road.

This isn't your typical Ferrari; the 812 Superfast is one of the most powerful front-engine production cars ever built. The 812 Superfast is a replacement for the Ferrari F12 Berlinetta from the Italian performance car manufacturer. It has a sporty look because of the strong design aspect.

The Ferrari 812 is powered by a 789-hp 6.5-liter V-12 engine that sends 530 pound-feet of torque to the rear wheels through a seven-speed dual-clutch automated transmission. The 812 touches 60 mph in 2.8 seconds.

The cabin of the 812 has seating for two people, is quite spacious, has decent ergonomics, and is modern in style. Ferrari ditched the traditional steering-wheel stalks in favour of push-button controls for the wipers and turn signals on the spokes, allowing drivers to embrace the 812's grand-touring nature and keep their hands on the wheel at all times.

In practically any gear and cornering position, there's more than enough power to summon up an armful of oversteer. When a slide occurs, it happens quickly, yet the car's steering is so direct that repairs can be made at the same time. Ferrari's incredible seats will keep you firmly in place.

Porsche 911

25,73,00,000 - 03,08,00,000 =22,65,00,000

There are icons, and then there are legends like the 911.

The 2022 Porsche 911 is a near-perfect sports car with sublime driving characteristics and fantastic twin-turbo flat-six engines. Apart from being out of reach for most enthusiasts, Porsche's classic two-plus-two-seater is both immersive and adaptable. Is any car, however, too pricey when you have a budget of 50 crores?

The new Porsche 911 is driven by a 3.0-litre twin-turbocharged petrol engine that produces 30bhp more than the previous model, totaling 444bhp and 530Nm of torque. A new eight- speed dual-clutch automatic transmission is paired with the improved engine. The Porsche Carrera S can sprint from 0 to 100 kilometres per hour in under 3.7 seconds.

The 911's interior remains smart rather than convoluted, with a mix of buttons, knobs, and touch-screen controls, as well as a huge central cupholder for the first time. The gauge cluster likewise departs from tradition, with predominantly digital instruments replacing mostly analogue ones.

The original 911 goal statement remains unchanged: it must be usable and pleasant on a daily basis, while also being one of the most rewarding driving cars available. Not only has the new automobile been designed to be much easier to live with, but it is also far faster than the car it replaces.

Lamborghini Aventador

22,65,00,000 - 06,25,00,000 =16,40,00,000

The most remarkable Lamborghini on sale.

The 2022 Lamborghini Aventador is the definition of a hypercar, with a raging 769-hp V-12 engine and a unique appearance. Its scissor doors, wide and low proportions, and extensively vented bodywork make it a show-stopper.

The Aventador starts pulling at 1000rpm as if that's what it was made for, and then simply keeps going and going, gradually increasing its need and sharpening its sound until it reaches a shrieking crescendo just on the other side of its 8250rpm power peak.

Every Aventador has a set of scissor doors that swing open, as is typical of Lamborghini. Although the low-slung inside is showing its age, it may be upgraded with a selection of high-end materials and customised options. Small goods will not fit in the cabin, and luggage capacity is limited.

As speeds increase, the ride smooths out, but the symptoms of a car with spring rates more suited to the track than the road persist, especially in the wet. In slow bends, the car has a tendency to understeer, which is exacerbated by what appears to be a tight rear differential. However, even when all four wheels are pulling, traction remains excellent.

Rolls-Royce Wraith

16,40,00,000 - 06,22,00,000 =10,18,00,000

The most stylish rolls money can buy.

The 2021 Rolls-Royce Wraith is designed for the ultra-rich. It offers the ultimate in luxury and comfort. This striking coupe comes standard with a 624-hp V-12 engine, rear-hinged doors, and the Spirit of Ecstasy hood ornament on all variants. Buyers can also modify their Wraiths in a variety of ways, turning them into commissioned works of art.

Power comes from a V12 petrol engine, like with all Rolls- Royces, but this one has been modified to produce a whopping 624bhp – more than any other car in the company's long history.

The Wraith is available in a single model with a long list of features, including adaptive headlights with auto-leveling, rain- sensing windshield wipers, LED taillights, and power-folding, auto-dimming side mirrors, to name a few. The front-row seats adjust in eight directions, and every seat in the interior is heated.

Inside, the quality is as good as you'd expect. Nearly every exposed surface is covered with fine grain wood and leather, and chromed knobs and handles further contribute to the sensation that no cost has been spared.

Ferrari SF90 Stradale

10,18,00,000 - 07,50,00,000 =02,68,00,000

At least 2 Ferraris in your 50 crore garage are a must, of course.

Transportation that is powered by electricity is the way of the future. The SF90 Stradale, a plug-in hybrid with stylish appearance, blazing performance, and a gas/electric drivetrain, it doesn’t get much better than this.

The yellow prancing-horse insignia on the centre of the steering wheel adds a dash of brightness to the inside of the SF90 Stradale. The dashboard of this two-seat coupe is sculpted with fluid lines that echo the flowing form of the car's body. Cargo room is usually in short supply in high- performance exotics. This is unmistakably true of the SF90 Stradale.

The SF90's cabin is slightly lower-slung and carried further forward inside the wheelbase than Ferrari's more traditional mid-engined cars, but neither distinction is noticeable. On the way in, there isn't a particularly tall or wide sill to leap over, and there's plenty of room behind the wheel.

Since the 360 Modena, the SF90 is the first Ferrari with a mid- engine. The new hypercar from the brand comes equipped with all-wheel drive and can travel up to 16 miles on electric power alone. Three electric motors and a powerful V-8 combine to produce a mind-boggling 986 horsepower in the SF90 Stradale. Tremendous power translates to serious performance; Ferrari boasts this coupe can go from zero to 60 mph in 2.5 seconds.

Mercedes-Benz AMG GLE 63 S

02,68,00,000 - 02,11,00,000 =57,00,000

One of the best driving SUVs from Mercedes.

When Mercedes crammed a 5.4-liter V-8 into its ML-class truck and named it the ML55 AMG in 1999, it effectively established the factory-built high-performance luxury SUV. The revised 2021 GLE63 S is one of the most recent to continue the mega- horsepower lineage.

The AMG 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 is lowered into the capacious bonnet to begin the transformation. The engine is hand-built and produces 612 horsepower. Not only that, but this AMG engine now has a 22-hp electronic boost. While total system power never exceeds 612hp, the EQ Boost starter-alternator (located between the engine and the transmission) produces an extra 250Nm of torque, which helps offset the GLE Coupe's 2,445kg kerb weight.

There will be no nonsense. When you get behind the wheel of the GLE 63 S, you can tell it's an AMG right away. It travels forward instantly when you press the throttle. The torque fill or 250Nm of quick electric boost contributes to this. The V8 quickly overwhelms this little swell of torque with a gigantic 850Nm tsunami.

A wide, three-spoke sports steering wheel with aluminium paddle shifters is standard on both models, as are heated, vented, and thickly bolstered AMG front sports seats in nappa leather. The cabins are as roomy as you'd expect in an SUV, and this is likely to be the most practical vehicle in your 50-crore collection.
