Will Sachin Pilot contest Congress President election

Shashi Tharoor is backed by Sonia Gandhi while Ashok Gehlot is backed by Rahul Gandhi for the upcoming Congress Presidential elections.

Both loyalists have confirmed they are going to contend for Congress president post but there is another story cooking in Ashok Gehlot's state - Rajasthan.

There is no refuting the fact about quarrels between Ashok Gehlot and Sachin Pilot, but as Ashok Gehlot intends to step up to New Delhi for president, Sachin Pilot hopes to fill the vacuum as Chief Minister of Rajasthan.

Ashok Gehlot called a meeting of MLAs on Tuesday night where Sachin Pilot was not present as he was accompanying Rahul Gandhi on the Bharat Jodo Yatra, but Ashok Gehlot said that he will not be far from Rajasthan, creating a hurdle for Sachin Pilot, pointing out that he will not let go of the Chief Minister post.

Sachin Pilot in response has issued a statement that no person in Congress can hold two post, fighting back Ashok Gehlot's meeting.

Although, the problem arises if Ashok Gehlot wins, but there is a slight possibility that Sachin Pilot might also think to contest election with the blessing of Rahul Gandhi.
