Woman in UP poisons daughters and commits suicide after fight with mother in law

After a fight with her mother-in-law in the Gangoh neighbourhood of Saharanpur, Uttar Pradesh, the woman killed her two kids and then poisoned herself, according to police on Thursday.

Following a furious disagreement with her mother-in-law, Mamta (26), gave poison to her three daughters, Archi (5 years old), Sona (3 years old), and Arvi (2 years old), as well as eating it herself, according to Additional SP (Rural) Sagar Jain.

All four were taken to the hospital, where Mamta and her daughters Archi and Arvi passed away while receiving care, according to the official.

Sona's condition is described as steady. Police claimed there was an investigation going on.
