 New Collection Gris Dior New Look Limited Edition Eau de parfum “Perfume is the indispensable complement to the personality of women, a finishing touch to a dress” - Christian Dior Christian Dior aka Dior, is a French luxury fashion house controlled and chaired by Bernard Arnault, the CEO of LVMH. Christian Dior debuted his first fashion collection for Spring– Summer 1947 on February 12, 1947.
In the salons of the company's headquarters at 30 Avenue Montaigne, a show of "90 models from his debut collection on six mannequins" was exhibited. The two lines were formerly known as "Corolle" and "Huit." Dior revolutionized the perfumery industry with the launch of the highly popular Miss Dior parfum, which was named after Catherine Dior (Christian Dior's sister). The new collection, however, became known as the "New Look" after Harper's Bazaar editor-in-chief Carmel Snow exclaimed, "It's such a new look!" At the end of the 1940s, the New Look was a revolutionary era for women.
