Louis Vuitton is one of the most prestigious worldwide fashion houses in the world. It sells its products through standalone boutiques, lease departments in high-end department stores, and through its website's e-commerce section. Louis Vuitton has been named the most valuable luxury brand in the world for the past six years. It was valued at $25.9 billion in 2012. The brand was valued at US$28.4 billion in 2013, with US$9.4 billion in revenue.
The company is present in more than 50 countries with more than 460 stores. Vuitton products are now mostly sold through company-owned Louis Vuitton boutiques, with a few exceptions highlighted in premium malls or within luxury department stores. Company boutiques within department stores are self-contained and run by company executives and workers. This month we've chosen the Louis Vuitton Star Trail Pump as our footwear of the month. The Star Trail pump in glazed calf leather is a reinterpretation of one of Louis Vuitton's most iconic styles, the Star Trail ankle boot.
