 70s Floral and Flares
‘Nothing says joy like flowers’
The 70s was a huge decade in fashion where many new trends were born. From Farrah Fawcett and Bianca Jagger to Princess Diana and supermodel Iman, there were so many style icons. It was a time of freedom and reconnecting with nature, and the fashion trends reflected this, with neutral colour palettes, earthy tones, and natural appearances proving to be extremely popular.
It's no surprise that several late '60s and '70s-inspired florals appear across a handful of summer staples and modern silhouettes for a summer of reemergence, love, and togetherness.
Flower power has been seen on crop tops, capris, miniskirts, short-shorts, sundresses, and even bikinis. And whether or not we can jet off to far flung locales, these retro-inspired prints are sure to take you on a trip. Jacobs, Faithfull the Brand, and Prada are among the designers and businesses who have incorporated this trend into their collections.
