If you had 50 crores to spend on cars, we assume you'd want at least one safe vehicle to do your everyday duties. The Audi A8L security is the best car to do that. Audi unveiled the armoured version of its new A8 L luxury limousine to give their customers the safest experience possible. The new A8 L Security provides VR10 ballistics protection and is equipped with a variety of safety and security features to keep occupants safe. The A8 L Security resembles the ordinary A8 in appearance. Only the thick black outlining of the windows and the additional blue LED strobe lights - found in areas like the grille and rear windscreen - distinguish it as the armoured brother. The layers of armour created from a blend of high-strength steel and a unique aluminium alloy sit behind the body shell. To deflect missiles, the glass is also multi-layered.
The cabin has all of the luxury and comfort that one would expect from an A8, with the addition of security hardware. An intercom system with speakers lets occupants to communicate with those outside the car, a fre suppression system with nozzles situated under the body, and an emergency evacuation system that allows occupants to blast the door hinges if the doors become jammed. An emergency fresh air system, which gives passengers with a limited amount of fresh air if the circumstance requires it, is also included in the safety measures. Individual door unlocking is also available on the A8L Security. The 4.0-litre turbo-charged V8 engine, which is the same as in the S8, produces 571hp and 800Nm of torque. Quattro all- wheel drive is standard, as is an 8-speed automatic transmission. Despite its weight, Audi promises that the armoured sedan would accelerate from zero to 100 kilometres per hour in under 6.3 seconds.
