The first mid-engined supercar created, developed, and
manufactured in India by Indians. The DC Avanti is the creation of Dilip Chhabria, designer and creator of DC Design, a business better recognised for creating concept cars and prototypes. He decided to manufacture his own supercar one day, and this is what came of it.

a mid-mounted 250-horsepower petrol turbocharged engine. The sprint from 0 to 100 kph is said to require an acceleration time of 6 seconds. 200 kmph is the electronic top speed restriction. Regardless of whether you are a car fan or not, this car has the looks to make your heart race the instant you see one.
For being the first Indian supercar, there are a lot of expectations, and Dilip Chhabria has actually done a wonderful job with the Avanti. When combined with the accommodating ride quality and clearance that are present on local roads, the respectable power available seems like a big relief. Of course, it also serves as a fantastic attention getter.
Where the Avanti lacks is the interior and its fit and finish are particularly poor. The omission of Airbags is also a pretty big one but we must not deviate from the purpose of this car. It is India’s first supercar, India’s way of showing that it too can build a car that looks great and drives fast. While the first try at this is not perfect, we’re sure this will be a great collector’s item.

 FROM THE EDITOR
Did cars become less interesting after 90’s ? We believe so.

90s were simpler, people loved manual cars and had more mechanical bits in the car than gimmicky electronics. The cars felt fast, unsafe but fast and the pleasure of driving was absolutely unmatched. In fact, only few modern cars can compete with the gems that 90s gave us. Memories, wallpapers and nostalgia, let us take you to the 90s and make you fall in love with cars again.
