Toby Jones AKA Dobby - House Elf “Bad Dobby! Bad Dobby!"
 
Dobby was a very interesting character and certainly made an impression within minutes. He was indeed a great elf not the bad one but he used to call himself bad whenever he assumed he did something wrong. Dobby was a house-elf for years indentured to the Malfoy family however, he wasn't ever on Lucius's side but protected Harry everytime he could.

While each and every character played a significant role in creating this magical fantasy alive still there are some characters which were major to Harry Potter

Albus Dumbledore - Headmaster of Hogwarts
Alan Rickman AKA Severus Snape - Potions Master, Defence Against the Dark Arts teacher, and Head of Slytherin House at Hogwarts
