2 arrested at Hyderabad airport with gold worth Rs 1.05 crore hidden in rectum



At the Rajiv Gandhi International Airport in Hyderabad, the Air Intelligence Unit (AIU) of the Customs Department confiscated 1705.3 grammes of gold from two passengers travelling from Dubai.

According to the Customs Department, two passengers who came from Dubai on Indigo aircraft 6E-1484 at 10 PM on Monday were detained by members of the Customs Air Intelligence section, based on specific information.



Both passengers were found to have six capsules with gold paste inside them that were wrapped in black tape when they were searched. According to the official announcement, customs seized gold from the two travellers that were valued at 1.05 crore rupees and weighed a total of 1705.3 grammes.
