2 goods trains collide in West Bengal; 14 trains diverted



The South Eastern Railway (SEC)'s Kharagpur-Bankura-Adra line was shut down early on Sunday after two goods trains collided at the Ondagram railway station in Bankura, West Bengal. According to representatives of the South Eastern Railway, no accidents or injuries have been reported.

According to reports, one of two goods trains collided with the rear of the second train, severely damaging the involved locomotives and carriages.

The Adra-Midnapore stretch was restored for regular train services shortly after the crash, and the first train passed through at 8.35 am, according to officials. According to officials, 14 trains have been cancelled, three have been redirected, and two have short-terminated at the Adra Division's affected station. The incident took place at 4 am.
