Amit Shah to make a statement on Nagaland shooting in Parliament

Amit Shah, the home minister of the Union, will address both Houses of Parliament today about the Nagaland shooting incident that left at least 14 civilians dead. In the afternoon, Shah is scheduled to appear in both the Lok Sabha and the Rajya Sabha to speak about the Nagaland incident.

The announcement follows adjournment motion notices in both Houses from opposition leaders on the Nagaland firing incident. In the Lok Sabha, Congress MP Manickam Tagore proposed an adjournment motion for the debate, while Rajya Sabha MP Manoj Jha suspended the session "to discuss the matters related to the killing of innocent civilians in Nagaland."
