India is still fastest growing economy, says Sitharaman over inflation

Finance minister Nirmala Sitharaman on Monday said India's economy is much better than most countries, adding that India is still the fastest growing economy.

“Global agencies have ranked India's economy high,” the minister said in a reply to the debate over price rise in the Lok Sabha. “Without undermining some of the points that many members have said, I find that it was more a discussion on political angles of price rise rather than actually data-driven concerns about price. So, I too will try to reply a little politically,” the minister said.
