Into Season 5, Money Heist released 1st part of its season on September 3 and it took the world by storm. Although, the storyline was somewhat expected, it still excited the viewers filled with anticipation.

The Professor’s Gang

The Professor

The mastermind behind every heist, pulling the strings behind every plan, the Professor is the one string without whom every plan falls out of place. In this season, the professor was incapacitated for a few episodes by Alicia Sierra and everything went to hell until the professor gained control, thanks to Alicia’s delivery of a bay girl, who was named Victoria.

Tokyo

The most out of control character, Tokyo has been everyone’s favourite. While, her act is always unexpected, and brave, her role in the series ended with a shootout with Gandia and crew, while taking them down all in the last moments blasting grenades in their faces.

Rio

Tokyo’s love, Rio is a kid making stupid decisions. Significant in the crew, his decision cannot be trusted and an emotional breakdown is expected from him in the second part of the season.

Raquel Murillo

An ex-cop from the first season, Raquel is professor’s love. Always carrying a bold approach, Raquel entered the Bank of Spain after escaping police custody via a military chopper.

Denver

Another stupid kid, but loyal to every move, Denver is someone who was initially despised by the audience but accepted gradually, to the extent he is one of the most loved characters now.

Stockholm

Falling in love with Denver while being a hostage from the first season, she raises Cincinnati, her son with Denver, whose biological father is Arturo Roman. Depicting possibility of her killing Arturo, she goes through an emotional breakdown, consuming drugs during the heist.

Palermo

Palermo is an egoist character, that likes to take charge. Always in love with Berlin, Palermo can choose to side with enemies if the need requires. Releasing Gandia in the previous part, he can be unpredictable at times.

Bogota

Man of principle, Bogota always acts in the best possible course of action, only sometimes losing cool, like after the death of Nairobi.

Helsinki

In love with Palermo, and best friends with Nairobi, Helsinki is a giant that always puts the crew first. Almost losing his leg, trying to build a trench against the roof attack, Helsinki can be trusted by any member of the crew.

Manila

In love with Denver since childhood, Manila acted as a hostage to prevent any harm for an unexpected act of a hostage. Part of professor’s plan, the transgender brings a fresh life to the storyline, saving Denver from Arturo’s provocations.

Berlin

Berlin is the true mastermind behind the professor. While dead in the first heist facilitating the escape of the crew, taking an honourable death rather than dying from his terminal illness. He keeps appearing almost every episode from flashbacks presenting stories of facilitation of the crew as well as the plan. It is common opinion that producer’s made the biggest mistake killing him. If he was part of the heist’s, the show would have achieved heights that it in no way can. From the show’s Bella Ciao to every heist’s plan, he is shown in flashbacks creating all. Imagine the act, if he was still a part of the heist’s.

Our Villain

Arturo Roman

Becoming hostage by choice in the heist, Arturo Roman is the most dreaded character in the series, reason being he acts to perfection in the negative role he plays. Biological father of Cincinnati, Stockholm’s son, he has been shot by Stockholm and is possibly dead, but we all know that he will not stay dead and be back. Money Heist is incomplete without the irritating acts of Arturo and the producer’s know that as well.

What makes the show special ?

Money Heist is a show that is loved by all, reason being it gives a hope or a fantasy to the common man, stealing from the government, not harming anyone privately, Money Heist brings a glimmer in the eye of the common man running through the daily problems of life. Moreover, every action planned to perfection in advance by the professor gives the audience a sense of appreciation as to the brains and backup planning of the professor. All in all, it takes the audience through a wild ride where they believe anything is achievable.
