Rani Rampal Awarded With Padma Shri

Women's Hockey team Captain Rani Rampal on Monday received India's fourth highest civilian award Padma Shri. The award is presented by President Ram Nath Kovind In Rashtrapati Bhawan for her Excellent performance in Sports. Rani Rampal led the Women's Hockey team in Tokyo Olympics 2020 this year earlier. At the age of 15 she was the youngest player in the National team which participated in the 2010 World Cup. She has played 212 Internationals matches and scored 134 goals. Currently, she is the captain of Indian Hockey Team. Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Minister Amit Shah are among the attendees who witness the ceremony.
