A shirtless man driving a golf cart wanted for robbery and grand theft auto along with a dog in his lap was chased by the police in the San Fernando Valley.
The pursuit started just after 9 p.m. in the 18700 block of Ventura Boulevard and ended 10 miles away near the intersection of Oxnard Street and Laurel Canyon Boulevard at around 9:45 p.m.
The suspect drove in the wrong side of the road while patrol vehicles followed him. At the end, he ditched the vehicle in a parking lot and attempted to flee on foot where he was tackled by police officers and put in the back seat of a patrol car. He shouted, "Don’t drink, don’t do drugs, be a better person" as he was put in the car.
