Supreme Court gives a befitting reply on Manipur Violence

On Monday, the Supreme Court heard cases involving the violence in Manipur and stated that the Apex Court's platform should not be used to incite more violence there.

Supreme Court while remarking on the Manipur Violence said "We can only monitor the steps being taken by the state and pass certain orders if there are additional measures that can be taken. But we can't run the security apparatus".

Senior Advocate Gonsalves suggested that the Manipur indigenous people are the target of the situation happening in the state. CJI replied , "We don't want this proceeding to be used as a platform for further escalation of violence & other problems which exist in the State. We do not run the security apparatus or law and order. If you have suggestions we can take."
