FROM THE EDITOR
“Art is the lie that enables us to realize the
truth.”
Artwork is more than just a
decoration. It's more of
healing where artistic
creation can provide both
creators and viewers with
life-saving restoration.
Whereas creators may find
a distraction from pain, an
outlet for repressed
thoughts and emotions,
viewers may find belonging,
representation, and selfaffirmation in the poignant
works of artists. Every
painting, regardless of
subject or medium, begins
with an inspiration spark
that leads to the universal
truth like Picasso said, "Art
is the lie that enables us to
realize the truth.”

5 Iconic Paintings!
Also known as La Gioconda, Mona Lisa is Leonardo Da Vinci's
best-known work and the most famous painting in the world.
Today the painting is in the Louvre in Paris and its history
began between 1503 and 1519 in Florence, the Italian city
considered the cradle of the Renaissance, where Da Vinci
painted this masterpiece. It is said to be a portrait of Lisa
Gherardini, wife of Francesco del Giocondo, but it has also been
rumored to be of Da Vinci's mother, Caterina, or even a selfportrait of the painter.
